The Clark Planetarium, formerly known as the Hansen Planetarium, opened its doors on April 11th, 2003 in a facility twice the size of the original, and boasting Utah's only IMAX theater. The Clark Planetarium is open to the public seven days a week. During the year, a projected 80,000 school students and 200,000 public patrons visit the facility to see the exhibits and learn more about our solar system and universe. Clark Planetarium is an active participant and supplies display materials for Consortium activities with emphasis on the teacher workshops held in Ogden and Salt Lake City, Utah, and have contributed to traveling tours of the State.
